Cleveland

Cleveland’s legacy as one of the most racially segregated cities in the United States continues to cause widespread suffering. Cleveland has the worst childhood poverty rate in the country, with 1 in 4 children exposed to lead poisoning in unsafe and unstable housing. Low-quality and unaffordable transportation leaves thousands of people unable to access opportunity. Overcrowding, abuse, and neglect in the county jail leads to deaths of inmates each year.

With love for our city and our people, we take action to end inhumane jail conditions and cash bail, so that hundreds of people can be reunited with their families. And through campaigns to increase voter turnout and to win equitable access to transportation, economic opportunity, and lead abatement, we fight for the value of every voice and every Ohioan.
